Text of Video:

Greetings, Lord of the Lakes…

I wanted to send another quick video with some changes that are happening soon.

As many of you know, we are meeting at Lord of the Lakes at 8 & 10:30am for in person worship.   Masks and physical distancing are no longer required in the church.   I very much respect that some people may choose to follow the recommendation to continue to wear masks and practice physical distancing - but that is not requirement - but recommendation.  I have kept both sides of the sanctuary as every other pew for those who would like to practice some form of physical distancing.

We have also began having coffee fellowship inside on Sunday mornings between services.  I suspect soon we will start having some yummy sweet treats.  For now it is still individually wrapped self-serve items.

One of the big changes coming is that we will resume having communion in our “in person worship services” on the first and third Sunday’s beginning on the first Sunday of July (July 4th).  Through the month of June I will continue to offer on Sunday mornings private family and individual communion.   Please call or text or email me to set those appointments up.

On July 11th and July 18th at 9:30am in the place of my usual Sunday Morning Bible Class Margery and I will present a brief overview of our recent Turkey trip - highlighting the biblical sites we were able to visit.   I am speaking with Shelly and Scott about doing a highlight of our Israel trip at another time.   People seem to still want to see pictures and hear about our experience - I am a tad embarrassed about forcing trip pictures on people - please let me know if there is still interest.

I will continue to post Bible Study videos on Line through the end of the book of 2 Cor. (our current study) and then with us beginning to meet on Sunday mornings and after the Turkey Trip presentation (and possibly Israel trip presentation) we will begin offering Bible Study on Sundays in person.

Tuesday Morning Bible Class is currently  finished with the materials we have been using on line and I will start having Tuesday morning class at 9am (in person) on Tuesday July 13th.   Please pass that information on to others.

In talking with people, some have asked that we continue to use the offering boxes in the back of the sanctuary and to continue to leave the bulletins on the back ushers table for a time yet.  But that will come by the end of summer as well.

I am very comfortable with the steps we have been taking and continue to take to getting back toward a more typical Bible Study and Sunday Church experience.

We will continue to offer on-line worship opportunities.

As always if your not feeling well please join us on line!

Stay safe and healthy.  You all remain in my prayers.   Pastor Bertram

Offerings

It is a difficult reality that we also need to keep the church's finances in our prayers with this closure. People may want to give electronically through our web site or send offerings to the church through the mail that would support our church and its mission.

Current Information Emails…

To receive the most current information and updates from Lord of the Lakes you must sign up for emails from us.
On the bottom of each page of our web site are some boxes - one box asks you to enter your email to get the Newsletter.
There is also an area to inform me if you would like to be on the email “Prayer Chain” list.
(Please note that occasionally group emails get sent to “Promotions” or “Junk.”)
